Staying in room 405 at the Tavern Hotel in one of their seafront rooms with a shower & bath was much better than the more expensive deluxe room. The staff are very friendly and polite, although they could use more training. The location is perfect, alongside the baywalk, and just a brief walk to restaurants offering great food. The dining options are okay but could be improved with more seafood selections reflecting Surigao's fishing heritage.

I absolutely loved my stay at the hotel! The Seaview from my room and the close proximity to the boat terminal were incredible perks. The room was spacious enough for yoga or any form of exercise, and the relaxing balcony view of the Surigao bay was just breathtaking. However, the dining could be improved with more seafood options, considering Surigao is known for its fishing. The service was top-notch, with staff always on hand to take care of our needs.
